UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Launches Baseqah Program for Vocational Rehabilitation and Support

UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Kholy launched Baseqah Program for Vocational Rehabilitation and Support for females looking to join labor market organized by the Consulting Research and Studies Institute, Al-Qunfudhah branch on Sunday Dhul-Qe'dah 2, 1439 H in the presence of Vice Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College Dr. Nowair bint Saeed Bajabir, Vice Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Sharifa bint Ieesa Al-Hazmi, a number of Al-Qunfudhah University College female vice deans, the program trainers and the invitees from both the public and private sectors. 

The ceremony started with the royal anthem and then a Quranic recitation to be followed by the speech of the Vice Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College Dr. Nowair Bajabir in which she highlighted the importance of developing the academic, research and developmental services provided for the college students, the goal which  the University College of Al-Qunfudhah trying to achieve in such manner which contributes to serving the community and keeping pace with the labor market. 

After that, Baseqah program coordinator Dr. Umm Al-Zain Badawi made a presentation about the program dedicated to providing vocational rehabilitation and support for females. She said the program is divided into three different paths as following; personal rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation and commercial rehabilitation, and will contribute to boosting skills of females looking to join labor market by providing them with the language skills, negotiation and persuasion skills, problem-solving skills, communication, leadership skills, teamwork skills besides training them on how to start their own projects, design and e-commerce and dealing with clients skills.  

For her part, the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Kholy spoke about the leading role of the youth in building and developing the community while attaching the needed concern to training and rehabilitation to join the different sectors of the labor market. She then lauded the directives of the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail and his support provided for all the effective programs in the field of professional rehabilitation and training in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. She also praised the efforts of the Dean and Vice Deans of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute and all those involved in this fruitful event.

The program included a lecture titled:  "The Culture of Professional Guidance and Labor Market Rehabilitation".

Wrapping up the program, the Consulting Research and Studies Institute honored the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Dr. Sarah Al-Kholy, the trainers of Baseqah program, success partners and program organizers and offered them gifts and memorial shields.
