UQU President and Director of Unified Security Operations Center 911 Discuss Aspects of Cooperation

President of Umm Al-Qura University Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail visited the Unified Security Operations Center (911) of Makkah Region located in Al-Awali district. He was received by the Center's Director Col. Ali bin Attiah Al-Ghamdi.  His delegation included; the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi, Dean of College of Community Service and Continuing Education Dr. Khalid Barqawi, Director of Public Relations and Media Department Mr. Khalid bin Jamil Morsi and the Secretary of the UQU President Mr. Hisham Al-Afghani.  

 

He visited all sections of the center and was briefed on the methods of receiving and dealing with communications in the males and females departments and the mechanism of passing the communications to translators in various languages including; English, French, Indonesian and Urdu. He also checked on deportations hall.  

 

During the visit, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail and his accompanying delegation discussed with the Center's Director Col. Ali Al-Ghamdi the aspects of cooperation in the fields of development, quality and training. The meeting took place in the Center's meeting hall in the presence of the Center's security officers. 

 

Meanwhile, the Center's Director Col. Ali Al-Ghamdi said the Center endeavors to build partnerships with the relevant authorities to develop high-quality services for pilgrims, Umrah doers, the visitors of the Grand Mosque and the inhabitants of Makkah region including; citizens and residents. He said that the Center seeks to build a relationship with Umm Al-Qura University particularly in the fields related to consultancy studies and training programs. He added that they have set 85 quality standards covering all departments of the center to help services' seekers.    

 

He went on to add that the center received about 54 thousand communications during the holy month of Ramada on daily bases and the foundation stone was laid to establish three similar modern centers in Riyadh, Eastern and Al-Medina regions. He then lauded the keenness of the UQU President to respond to the center's invitation and check on experiences of its affiliates. 

 

For his part, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail said the Center with its technological capacities and highly qualified human cadre is keeping pace with the similar international security centers. He then lauded the support of the wise leadership to the center that provides its services for all people of Makkah and the visitors including; pilgrims and Umrah doers.  He added that Umm Al-Qura University with all its colleges and research centers takes the pride in serving the Center in all needed fields including; consultancy and training studies. 

 

At the conclusion of the visit, the two sides exchanged memorial gifts.
