He added that the market was a platform of advocacy, and that the Prophet (peace be upon him) visited it along with other markets, such as Al-Mujena and Zi Al-Majaz, calling people in their seasons and homes to Islam, and presenting himself to the tribes in order to support until spreading the message of his God. Moreover, Muslims were trading during the beginning of Islam, and they were allowed to do so until the year 129 AH (late Umayyad era) was destroyed by the Kharijites, and was replaced by permanent markets and emerging markets such as Almarbed in Basra.

He emphasized that the Souq Okaz was revived in the Saudi era as a result of the government's- May Allah support it- interest in history, archeology, heritage and culture for its importance in developing a spirit of loyalty and belonging, preserving religious and national identity and development, and building the future after a halt that lasted 13 centuries.
