 UQU Vice-President at (18th Scientific Forum for Hajj and Umrah Research)

Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khouly, UQU Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, and Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudy, Dean of University Studies for Girls, attended the launch of the 18th Scientific Forum for Hajj and Umrah Research as well as its attached exhibition. The event was organized by Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, on Tuesday, 15th Shaaban 1439H at King Abdulaziz Historical Hall, UQU Abediyah-based University City. The event was also attended by a number of their Excellency, officials, interested parties and researchers participating in the Forum from Saudi universities, academic institutes and related parties in the affairs of Hajj and Umrah at the public and private sectors.

On this occasion, the (18th Scientific Forum for Hajj and Umrah Research) was launched approving (57) researches and work sheets. These included (11) work sheets from governmental, civil and academic bodies representing Hajj and Umrah initiatives and experiences. This was out of (140) participations submitted to the committee by researchers and interested persons who represented more than (20) academic, governmental and civil bodies inside KSA. It is worth mentioning that such participations were demonstrated this year via six scientific sessions.

In the same context, the themes researched by participants comprised achievements and initiatives in the service of pilgrims and the future of the Hajj and Umrah system in light of the Saudi Vision 2030. The themes also included the technical, media, engineering, in addition to environmental and health studies. Moreover, the scientific posters demonstrated in the attached exhibition in the women section of the Forum were among such themes. It was noteworthy that the posters presented forty six scientific researches within the Forum’s scientific system.
