The UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khloy opened the activities of scabies preventive campaign under slogan of "Prevention, Safety and Epidemic Control", organized by the Consulting Research and Studies Institute represented by the Unit of Continuing Medical Education and the Centre for Safety, Risk and Crisis Management (SAFE) in collaboration with the medical colleges in the university. The launching ceremony took place at the headquarters of Umm Al-Qura Charity Association for Women in Umm Al-Joud district. 

The activities of the campaign included awareness and educational corners for the children, families and female workers in the association, besides the educational symposium headed by the Vice Dean of Scientific Research for Voluntary Research  Dr. Somiya bint Ezzat Sharaf and presented by the Professor of Internal Nursing at the College of Nursing Dr. Fatima bint Jabr Al-Solami, and the lecturer in the College of Applied Medical Sciences Mrs. Hiba Abdul-Wahab Abu Suleiman. The symposium was aimed at introducing scabies, its history, causes, symptoms, transmission ways, and treatment.  

For her part, the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Dr. Sarah Al-Kholy praised the support and directives of the UQU President Professor Abdullah bin Omar Bafail explaining that this campaign proceeds from the mission provided by the university to the community. She also praised the efforts of the workers in the Consulting Research and Studies Institute and the relevant parties in such manner which contributed to the success of this campaign so as to help provide prevention awareness campaign of scabies which might impede the educational process. Additionally,  Dr. Al-Kholy praised the cooperation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Umm Al-Qura Charity Association Mrs. Zainab bint Jamaluddin Flemban and all the female members of the Board of Directors of the Association for their cooperation to provide such quality programs.  

 In turn, the Vice Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute, females section, Dr. Ameera bint Jamil Khosaifan extended her thanks to UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs for her honorable attendance of Dr. Al-Kholy at the campaign scene and for her support provided for the activities of the campaign. She explained that this is one of the campaigns organized by Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations to achieve the social responsibility of the Institute towards the individuals and community.
