The UQU Official Spokesperson Dr. Yassir bin Ali Al-Qahtani refuted the allegations circulated recently by the social media on not providing an urgent relief for one of the female students at Al-Qunfudhah University College who suffered fainting from asthma. He noted that the case was immediately reported to the Red Crescent at 11:25 AM and was handled at 11:40 AM.
He underscored that upon the arrival of the Red Crescent team, their mission to carry on the student to the ambulance vehicle run smoothly and the student was moved directly to Al-Qunfudhah Public Hospital accompanied by two female supervisors from the college. He added that when the student's mother and brother arrived at the hospital, the two female supervisors came back to the college after being assured that the status of the female student is stable.
He further explained that the university administration is always very keen to fully cooperate with the Red Crescent teams and facilitate their mission to provide the necessary relief to the infected persons and enabling them to move the cases required to be transferred to the hospital as per the rules and regulations set in this regard.
