The new President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafeel officially started his work today morning Tuesday Rajab 10, 1439 H corresponding to March 27, 2018.  He was received at his office at the university campus in Abdyia by the UQU Vice Presidents, Deans of the Colleges, the Advisor in his office Mr. Essam bin Hassan Margooshi and a number of university affiliates including; faculty members and employees.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bafail lauded the confidence entrusted in him to take over Umm Al-Qura University portfolio stressing that the educational process in the Kingdom enjoys the interest and support of our wise leadership in such manner which contributed to providing the proper academic environment  in line with the National Transformation Plan 2020 and the Kingdom Vision 2030. He noted that he will be up to the royal confidence in developing means of educational and research process in the university and achieving hopes and aspirations of the male and female students, faculty members and employees.

In turn, the UQU Vice Presidents and Deans of the Colleges congratulated Dr. Bafail on the occasion of the issuance of the royal decree designating him as the president of the university in the excellent grade. They wished him all success in serving the university  and upgrading the educational and research environment to place it amongst the top universities worldwide.
