The UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Kholy launched the "Contemporary Issues in Jurisprudence" exhibition and the accompanying activities held by the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies in collaboration with the Deanship of Scientific Research represented by the Center of Islamic Studies Research. The event was attended by the Advisor to the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs and the Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi and the Vice Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Fareed bint Mohamed Al-Ghamdi.
Upon her arrival to the scene of the exhibition in Al-Jawhara Hall at the university campus in Al-Zahir, Dr. Sarah toured the different pavilions of the exhibition. After that, the ceremony started with a Quranic recitation followed by the speech of the UQU Vice President for female Students Affairs in which she expressed her happiness with the achievements of the exhibition which explained the broad prospects of the rulings of the Islamic sharia in light of the development and progress of the era. She then praised the exerted efforts which will have benefits on female students and lauded the support and directives of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas provided for whatever serves the educational process and knowledge activities for all female affiliates of the university.
She was followed by the speech of the Vice Dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies Dr. Nora bint Mosalam Al-Mihmadi in which she stressed on the keenness of the sharia scholars and researchers to address all contemporary issues in jurisprudence in line with the true Islamic approach. She then extended her thanks to all those in charge of the exhibition.
On her part, the Deputy Head of the Center of Islamic Studies in the Deanship of Scientific Research Dr. Afnan Talmassani highlighted the role of the scientific research in devising the jurisprudence rulings fitting the jurisprudence contemporary issues in the current era.
Then, the participant female researchers delivered their speech to be followed by a presentation about the website of the contemporary issues in jurisprudence and the similar websites.
Afterward, the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs Dr. Sarah Al-Kholy and the Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Hala Al-Amoudi honored the researchers and the participants in the Jurisprudence Contemporary Issues Exhibition, then the research session of the contemporary issues in jurisprudence started in a number of themes including; worships and personal affairs.
