Periodic Scientific Meeting Held by Clinical Nutrition Dep.

Out of concern by Dr. Ayman Al-Saegh, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, with training female students at hospitals, the Clinical Nutrition Department organized the Periodic Scientific Meeting for the Training of the Department’s Female Students for the academic year 1438/1439H. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Maher Al-Andijany (Vice-Dean for Hospital Affairs) and Dr. Haifaa bint Hussein Hijazy (Head of the Clinical Nutrition Department). The meeting was held on Thursday, 15th Jumada I 1439H (1st February 2018). It is worth mentioning that it targeted the fourth-year Clinical Nutrition female students. It was also coordinated by Dr. Firas Al-Ezza and Dr. As-Sayyed Hamed (Staff Members at the Department) with the Department of Training and Education at Al Noor Specialist Hospital. Moreover, the meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Alaa Qadhy, Prof. Samah Taiba and Prof. Imtinan Jafry (Staff Members at the Department), in addition to Prof. Nesreen Al-Baz (Head of the Department of Nutrition and Special Diets at Al Noor Hospital) and Prof. Ghazal Qutb (Head of the Clinical Nutrition Department at Al Noor Hospital). In this context, the meeting included the following:   

  1. Opening speech by Dr. Haifaa Hijazy.
  2. Speech by Dr. Ayman Al-Saegh.
  3. Discussion by Dr. Maher Al-Andijany with participation of Dr. Firas Al-Ezza about all aspects of internship female students’ training at hospitals.   
  4. Discussion by Dr. As-Sayyed Hamed, Fourth-Year Training Coordinator at the Department, about all aspects of fourth-year Clinical Nutrition female students’ training at hospitals.

Within the same framework, Dr. Maher Al-Andijany spoke about all aspects of administrative matters of internship students at hospitals. Besides, Dr. As-Sayyed Hamed talked about practical application of clinical nutrition in hospitals.  

Meanwhile, Dr. Ayman Al-Saegh, Dr. Maher Al-Andijany and Dr. Haifaa Hijazy expressed their happiness with the introduction of the College’s female students, especially at the Clinical Nutrition Department, to all aspects of student training at hospitals. They stated that such training formed one of the most significant basics of human cadres’ qualification to serve Makkah community in particular and the Saudi community in general.
