The Deanship of Student Affairs launched an awareness campaign entitled “My Life Is More Beautiful Without Smoking” to raise awareness of the harmful effects of smoking, and to combat it. This was in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Amr bin Taha Abdulqader Al-Saggaf, Dean of Student Affairs, who inaugurated the awareness exhibition involved with the campaign in front of the College of Shari’a (Islamic Law) in Abdeyyah by the anti-smoking society Kafa, Makkah branch. Afterward, the field campaign started out. A number of faculty members participated, including His Eminence Dr. Abdulghani Al-Zahrani, Faculty Member at the College of Da’wa (Islamic Call) and Fundamentals of Religion; His Eminence Dr. Raed Al-Osaimi, Vice Dean of the College of Shari’a; His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Dhubyani, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Services; His Excellency Dr. Ibraheem Al-Harbi, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Guidance and Counseling; and His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Al-Houli, Member of Kafa. Many presents were given through the event to the students who participated.
A number of messages and phrases for advice and guidance were contributed in the exhibition by participants. The messages and phrases elucidated the risks and dangers imposed by such bane on individual and social health alike. It is also worth mentioning that the attending students favorably reacted to the exhibited material.
