As an extension of the work of the Student Dentistry Club and in order to achieve its social objectives, an educational awareness campaign was held on Wednesday, 18th October 2017, targeting the Elderly Home in Makkah. In this regard, the members of the club visited the Home carrying with them examination tools and equipment to perform preliminary medical examination of the residents. Then, they gave them information and guidance to maintain oral and dental health.
In the same context, the idea of cooperation between the Elderly Home and the Educational Dental Hospital with the coordination of the Student Dentistry Club was also reviewed. Thus, the names of those who wished to receive the free treatment provided by the College of Dentistry at Umm Al Qura University (UQU) were registered.
Within the same framework, the Club extends deep thanks to the Elderly Home for its positive participation in such event, wishing it continuous communication, cooperation and success.
