The Head of Department of Islamic Architecture and three Department students participated in the Fourth Saudi Forum for Planning, Design and Equipping of Hospitals organized by the Division of Saudi Health Care Architects of Saudi Umran Society in Riyadh from 27-29/06/1437 AH. The Department students were awarded the certificates of winning the competition held by the Division of Saudi Health Care Architects for the students of architecture in KSA universities in designing a hospital with a capacity of 200 beds. Students from the Universities of King Saud, Dammam, Dar Al Uloom and Umm al-Qura took part in the competition. Three winners were selected from each university. The three winners who were selected from the Department of Islamic Architecture, College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture, Umm al-Qura University were:

2. Khaled bin Muhammad Burhan Sayfulddin
3. Ammar bin Ismail Khawj
