15000 Students Meet their Professors at UQU Tomorrow

Dr. Amr bin Taha Al-Saqaf, dean of Students Affairs Deanship at Umm Al-Qura University, said that 15000 students will meet with their professors and identify their curricula during the freshman students’ third meeting that the deanship organizes on 27-29 December.

He elaborated that the deanship will allow 15000 fresh male and female students to meet their faculty members throughout the three-day forum, whereas they will be able to identify their rights and duties in the auditoriums, and also the curricula they will study, in addition to all the tasks that they will fulfill throughout their academic path in the university.

Dr. Al-Saqaf elaborated that the distribution of the colleges participating in the fresh students meeting will be as following: the Colleges of Daw’a “Islamic Call” and Fundamentals of Religion, Shari’a and Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, Islamic Economics and Finance Sciences, and Community. As for the second day, Tuesday, the participating colleges will be the College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture, College of Judicial Studies and the Regulations, Preparatory Year Deanship (Medical), Preparatory Year Deanship (Administrative), and Preparatory Year Deanship (Scientific). On Wednesday, the third day, the participating colleges will be the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, Social Sciences College, Applied Sciences College, Education College, and University College in Jamoum.

He emphasized that the meeting will enable all male and female students to identify the future prospects of those disciplines that they are studying, and also to know in this meeting the supporting deanships that they need during their study, such as Scientific Research Deanship, IT Deanship, Admission and Registration Deanship, and Deanship of Library Affairs, and other different deanships.

Dr. Al-Saqaf called on all students to attend the programs and events offered by the Deanship to them in this meeting that will be held in King Saud Hall at the University's headquarters in Al-Abidiyah. The forum will be divided into two periods. The first period will be for male students from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while the second period will be for the female students from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  He also referred that all students can contact with the deanship anytime via their email (studaff.uqu.edu.sa), and the social networking through this address (DSAUQU).
