The media delegation assigned to cover Hajj season 1438 H, which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Information, visited the UQU Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research - Al-Azizyeyah Campus to get an overview on the institute's activities and programs.
The delegation comprising 30 members was received by the Vice-dean of the Institute, Dr. Turky Habibullah, and the Head of Research Department, Dr. Othman Kazaz and a number of researchers.
At the beginning of the visit, Habibullah welcomed the media mission and summarized the objectives and tasks of the institute, indicating that the number of Ramdan and Hajj seasons studies amounts to 80 studies and scientific researches covering health and safety of pilgrims. He pointed out that the institute has a long experience in Hajj and Umrah services, offering field studies conducted in Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites, which tackles various researches in different aspects, including: administration, environment, humanities, healthcare, engineering, media, information and technology.
Then the vice-dean maintained that the institute plays its research and consultative role in concert with several public authorities to develop the Hajj and Umrah system within the Kingdom's 2030 vision, indicating that 25 initiatives have been registered within the pilgrims service program.
Later, the media delegation presented their inquiries on research Hajj and Umrah research projects and programs, which were answered by Dr. Othman Kazaz.
At the end of the visit, the media delegation received souvenirs (posters of the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Sites) from the Institute.
