Dr. Wardah Al-Asmari Inaugurates the “Share the Green Dream with Us” Project in the Female Section at the University Headquarters

The UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Wardah Al-Asmari, today, Tuesday, launched “Share the Green Dream with Us” project, one of the projects of the Green Umm Al-Qura Initiative which was launched by the university, represented by the Administration of Voluntary Work and Social Responsibility. This was on the occasion of the 91st National Day as part of the "Green Makkah" campaign launched by the Makkah Region Development Authority, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region.

The Green Umm Al-Qura Initiative aims to improve the quality of life, address any visual distortion, and increase the number of green spaces. The initiative is organized in cooperation with the Makkah Municipality, Albir Charity Society in Jeddah, Salem bin Mahfouz Foundation, and the Ghadan Company.

Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Students Affairs affirmed that the initiative serves the realization of the university’s objectives in creating the appropriate academic and educational environment as well as facilitating the participation of female affiliates and creating a healthy and environmentally friendly educational and professional atmosphere in the various female student headquarters. It also helps raise awareness and environmental and social education about the importance of participating in achieving the Saudi Kingdom’s strategic objectives regarding the increase in the number of green spaces and maintaining a cleaner environment. Moreover, she noted that the Facilities and Services Department, the Campus Security Department and the Project Department participated in activating the project to facilitate the work of the campaign’s female staff inside the female students’ headquarters.
