On Tuesday, 14 Safar 1443 A.H., the Numou program was launched to train health volunteers. The program will be held in cooperation with the Health Volunteer Center at the Ministry of Health and also Umm Al-Qura University, being sponsored by the UQU Vice President for Development and Community Service, Dr. Ali Al-Shaeri. The inauguration was attended by the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Mashael bint Saeed Al-Qahtani, and the General Supervisor of the Department of Voluntary Work and Social Responsibility at Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Sumayya Ezzat Sharaf. Thus, this program has taken its first steps toward achieving the desired goal, supported by the Volunteer Work System, by building volunteer capacities in the health field and equipping them with knowledge about the culture of volunteering.
The program was launched by holding two workshops for more than 100 health volunteers from the various health colleges of Umm Al-Qura University.
It is worth noting that the workshops will be held twice a week to achieve the set target, i.e. training 1,000 health volunteers at Umm Al-Qura University.
