Media Department at Umm Al-Qura University has organized an introductory meeting to introduce media majors for the students of the department before selection of sub-majors available in the department including; journalism, TV and Radio, public relations. The meeting took place at the grand celebrations hall at the university campus in Abdyia.

At the commencement of the meeting, faculty member at the college Dr.  Salim Oriajah explained the importance of major selection which must be in line with the personal desire to contribute to motivating students to achieve personal development and excellence after graduation.  

  
On his part. Mr. Mohamed Bukhari shed light on the labor market in the field of TV and Radio and its various specialties which allow various opportunities fitting desires and abilities of the specialists. He explained his personal experience in the media market giving the opportunity to students to take a closer look at the work reality in the field of visual media. 
    

After that, students were given the opportunity to ask the lecturers about the content of the meeting. Part of students expressed their thanks to Media Department for this initiative which pushed aside a lot of uncertainty regarding media majors and removed their fears in this regard, wishing to have more similar meetings which help them to identify the correct academic path.
