University President Meets Altomouh High Schools Students

Umm Al-Qura University President, Dr. Bakry bin Maatouq Assas, met a group of Altomouh high school students and a number of their teachers in his office on Wednesday Jumada Al-Akhira 28, 1437 Hijri, April 6, 2016.

In the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Assas welcomed them in Umm Al-Qura University and wished them a fruitful and useful visit. The University includes many remarkable faculties and departments that contributed to graduating a number of high caliber professionals who work persistently to serve their society and their country, he confirmed. The University works on providing an attractive study environment for students of high schools and gives them clear explanation of all academic and scientific majors and attempts to effectively communicate with the society.

Such visits, Dr. Assas said, open new horizons for high schools students and give them a chance to know about the different faculties and departments of the University. The University is honored to host the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute of Hajj and Umrah Research, one of the most important institutes in the University, and a remarkable group of distinguished professors, on top of them the Imams of the Grand Mosque who teach in Islamic theology faculties, he added.

Dr. Assas also confirmed that students of the University are very creative and innovative and the University helped them to turn these innovations into patents and marketable products to serve their society.

Dr. Assas also listened to questions and queries of the students and answered them. Then he received a present from the Deputy Head Master, Bandar Al-Qurashi and Students’ Guide, Mr. Mohamed Al-Azab.

The Students took a tour in the University and visited the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Deanship of Students’ Affairs and a number of supporting deanships.
