The College of Education ranked first among Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) colleges in the contest of the 3rd Yosr Feminine Center Forum. The event titled, “Agreement Prevents Separation,” was held in cooperation with the Deanship of University Studies for Girls at Al-Jawhara Hall in Al-Zaher, on Sunday and Monday, 26-27th Rajab 1438H. The Forum aimed to raise awareness of the psychological, social and marital adjustment of UQU affiliates.
The College participated in a series of events, the most significant of which were awareness lectures, educational consultations and specialized workshops. It also presented a number of educational corners, including the corners of reading, psychological measuring, educational library, awareness center for families of persons with special needs, children's awareness center through the shadow theater, and awareness building of the old and modern educational curricula. This was accompanied by an art exhibition of students' products in works, minerals and engineering drawings.
It is worth mentioning that all eight educational departments of the Girls Section participated in the activities, with 40 staff members, 4 employees and 50 students.
In this context, and while receiving the award, Dr. Sumayya bint Ezzat Sharaf, Vice-Dean of the College of Education, extended deep thanks to all Departments and participating affiliates. Moreover, Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, Dean of the University Studies for Girls, and Dr. Haifaa Fida, Chairman of Yosr Center, commended the wonderful effort exerted by the College, which rendered it deservedly worthy of the first rank.
