Objectives of the Holy Quran Courses
- Tying students to the Book of God; endearing it to them; and accustoming them to reciting it, besides memorizing some of its parts and applying its teachings to all their public and private life affairs.
- Correcting students’ recitation of the Book of God as learned by scholars through continuous chains of transmitters from God’s Messenger Muhammad – peace and blessings be upon him – and staying away from solecism and distortion; this is by the practical application of the rules of tajweed (rules of pronunciation in Quranic recitation).
- Introducing students to some of the strange words they encounter during recitation.
