1. The applicant must be a Saudi citizen, or, if non-Saudi, hold an official post-graduate scholarship.
2. The applicant must hold a master degree from a Saudi university, or from a recognized foreign university.
3. The applicant must be known for good behavior and medically fit.
4. The applicant must submit two recommendation letters from the current or former professors.
5. An approval from the authorized person to study for the PhD on a full-time basis.
6. If the applicant is an employee, he/she must submit a written approval of the employer according to the article (13) of the Unified Post-graduate Studies Regulation.
