Abstract
The current study aimed toto set the role of field training in preparing social work students to activate social responsibility within the community. from opinion of field training students in social work departments at universities in Riyadh. Using a social survey method, a stratified random sample of 198 students was analyzed. Results indicated that field training significantly contributes to developing the skills necessary for strengthening social responsibility among students, with an average score of 4.44. The most notable skills gained included community interaction and communication with various societal groups. Additionally, strengths in training programs were identified, such as empowering students to apply professional values in real community situations and linking theoretical knowledge to community reality, with an average of 4.52. Conversely, the study highlighted shortcomings that hinder the strengthening of training programs, particularly a weak focus on community aspects in favor of administrative considerations, averaging 2.97. Students expressed positive perceptions of their future roles in promoting social responsibility, averaging 4.45. They agreed on the importance of diversifying training organizations, enhancing coordination between universities and community institutions, and providing comprehensive evaluations to strengthen their social responsibility. The study recommended designing integrated training programs to enhance students' professional readiness.
