Abstract
This This study aimed to the role of selected civil society organizations in raising awareness of human rights, to achieve this objective, the study used a sample survey method and utilized a questionnaire for data collection. The study was conducted on a sample of 864 Kuwaiti citizens, categorized according to gender (male / female), educational level (secondary / university / postgraduate), employment sector (government / private / unemployed), and governorate (Capital, Ahmadi, Hawalli, Mubarak Al-Kabeer). The findings indicated that the overall role of civil society organizations in raising awareness of human rights was of a moderate level. Additionally, the study revealed that participants demonstrated a high level of agreement regarding the proposed measures to enhance the role of civil society organizations in human rights awareness. The results also showed no statistically significant differences in participants’ responses based on gender. However, statistically significant differences were observed based on educational level, favoring those with postgraduate education, and employment sector, favoring those working in the government sector. Conversely, no statistically significant differences were found based on the governorate variable.
