Abstract
The study sought to achieve a main goal of "identifying the occupational pressures of social workers working in comprehensive rehabilitation centers and their impact on their professional performance, by identifying the sources of professional pressures faced by social workers, and the impact of these pressures on their professional performance, and proposing strategies to alleviate the occupational pressures they face, and the study belongs to the pattern of descriptive and analytical studies, and relied on the comprehensive social survey approach for social workers working in comprehensive rehabilitation centers in Makkah region, numbering (59) The questionnaire was the main tool for data collection, and the data was collected during the period from 5/4/1446 to 2/5/1446 AH. The results of the study pointed to the most important professional pressures faced by social workers working in comprehensive rehabilitation centers related to the nature of work in the center, role conflict, relations with colleagues and bosses at work, decision-making, professional growth and career advancement, performance evaluation, physical work environment, incentives and rewards - and the results of the study indicated the most important negative effects of occupational pressures on the performance of social workers working in the center, which was represented in feeling physical stress due to the large number of job tasks they perform, And the occurrence of conflicts and tensions in the work environment, and the occurrence of health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, lack of creativity and emotional integration, and the study reached the most important strategies for dealing with the occupational pressures facing social workers at the center.
