Abstract
This study aimed to determine the level of efficiency of family care associations in the Qassim region, and to come up with plan-ning mechanisms to improve them. This study is a descriptive study, and it relied on a sample social survey method for workers in family care associations in the Qassim region. Data were collected via an electronic questionnaire, which was sent to all associa-tions under study, and (95) respondents responded to it. The results of the study showed that the level of efficiency of family care associations in the Qassim region in general (medium). Their dimensions are as follows: first, the ability of associations to design and develop their programmes at a high level; second, the ability of associations to manage and improve their operations at a medi-um level; third, the ability of associations to provide and use financial resources; and, last, the ability of associations to provide and employ their human resources. The study also found a set of planning indicators against which a set of proposed planning mecha-nisms have been identified to improve the efficiency of Qassim care associations, including: attracting competencies to work in the associations, assigning tasks and work in the associations to their specialists, designing specialized training courses for workers to perform their mandated tasks, and seeking other sources of funding to achieve financial sustainability.
