Abstract
The study aimed to identify the levels of social resilience among Palestinian families and their coping strategies with financial crises during the war in the Gaza Strip. The study found out that the levels of social resilience among Palestinian families during the Gaza war were generally fragile. The study revealed that the most prominent adaptation strategies employed by families to deal with crises included reducing daily expenses and luxuries, postponing future projects, and using financial savings, while the least utilized strategy was receiving financial aid from the government. Regarding the variations between study variables, the study found that males exhibited higher average resilience than females. There was a positive linear relationship between the monthly income of the family and the levels of social resilience, and government employees exhibited higher resilience than family households working in other sectors did. The study concluded that, in view of these findings, it is imperative create emancipatory social and developmental policies that that respond to the needs of families and their resilience on the ground.
