Abstract
The study addresses an important theoretical and applied topic of visual and social semantics of the associated and widespread news image of university youth in the light of the coronavirus pandemic. The study is an analytical descriptive study, drawing on the analytical descriptive method and used the sample social survey. The study relied on the questionnaire tool, which was applied to sample of 269 university youth from the Faculty of mass communication and the Department of sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Science at Ajman University. The study found that there is a range of visual and social semantics to the news image during societal crises such as and is an important tool for diagnosing social reality and societal crises.
