Abstract
The current research aims to evaluate the professional practice of community organization in Orphan Care Facilities (OCF) in Makkah Al-Mukaramah region. To achieve this goal, a set of questions has been put forward: What are the characteristics of social work professionals working in OCF in Makkah region (Makkah, Jeddah, Taif)? To what extent do social workers in OCF adhere to professional skills, roles, tools, and principles of community organization in their practice? To what extent is the professional practice of community organization evaluated in OCF in Makkah region? What are the obstacles facing the professional practice of community organization in OCF in the Makkah region? What proposals can help overcome these obstacles? The research presents key concepts including "evaluation and assessment", "the orphan", and "community organization". An analytical framework based on ecological theory is utilized, alongside a theoretical framework detailing the goals, ethics, skills, roles, and tools of the community organization practice in social work. This study employs an evaluative research approach, using quantitative statistical methods to analyze data via the SPSS program. The research was conducted on a random sample of 40 social work professionals working in OCF in the Makkah region. Data was collected through a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. Key findings reveal that most respondents evaluate their work positively within the workplace. The results indicate that "the skill in developing professional relationships" is the most adhered to skill among social workers, followed by "the skill in teamwork". "Seminars" are identified as the primary professional tool used by social workers, followed by "interviews". The primary professional ethics adhered to by social workers include "promoting citizenship values among clients" and "social justice and equality among clients.
