In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise be to Allah, the Beneficent and the Provider. May peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad ibn Abdullah, who carried out Allah's orders, and upon his family, companions, and those who followed his guidance.
Your Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, may Allah safeguard you.
Your Excellencies the Vice Presidents of the University...
Your Excellencies the Deans...
Brothers, sisters, and colleagues...
Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
Every achievement has its fruits; and each season has a harvest. Today, we are harvesting what we have sown for a whole year. It has been a year of different types of growth, ripe fruits, and obvious achievements, Allah willing. Such achievements have pursued ambitions, embraced endeavors, and flown successfully until they became a visible, tangible reality.
In this regard, the most significant achievement this year was the launch of Umm Al-Qura Consultancy Oasis by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of Makkah Province, may Allah protect him! Oasis is considered the star of this year’s harvest in the field of training units, consulting contracts, research studies, and expertise offices with sophisticated academic potentials.
Stemming from our concern with continuing in the light of the Saudi Vision 2030 and through our mission that embodies leadership in the production, transfer and localization of knowledge and technology, Oasis formed the SAFE Center. The center’s mission focused on providing consulting and training experts in the domain of safety systems in industrial, constructing and general projects. It is worth mentioning that the largest share of support, among the national transformation initiatives nominated by Umm Al-Qura University, was allocated to SAFE by the Ministry of Education.
In the same context, the initiative concerned with building and running a complex for rehabilitation and hospitalization, Faran Center for Rehabilitation and Hospitalization, was launched. It aimed to be the first building block in an ambitious project to build and develop an integrated city for medical rehabilitation, particularly for people with physical disabilities. In addition, such a city of Islamic characteristics was designed to be located on the blessed land of Makkah, next to the Holy Mosque, as a global investment initiative.
Through such integrated Consultancy Oasis, we aspire to build a bright future for consulting services and studies, and also offer professional accreditation support services. This goes in line with the needs of the individuals, society and the homeland, and via integration and interdependence with the concerned bodies to achieve growth and prosperity of the knowledge-based and technical economy.
Thus, we cannot but extend deep thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the first supporter of the institute who motivates it to achieve even more accomplishments and brilliance. Moreover, thanks and appreciation should be extended to the Vice Presidents of the University and all the institute’s vice-deans, affiliates, employees, consultants, unit supervisors, trainers and expertise offices founders of distinguished academics (in both sections of the university, males and females).
To conclude, I pray that Allah, the Almighty, crown our efforts with unending success and prosperity. All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
