Course objectives:

  • Knowledge of PV solar cells and their parts.  
  • Identification of PV solar cells' work.
  • Identification of solar cells design methods using computer software.

Course presenter:

Course Elements: 

1. Introduction to the composition and implementation of PV solar cells.

2. Introduction to the spectral distribution of solar radiation.

3.  Introduction to the characteristics and design methods of multilayered solar cells.

4.  Design of solar cells using SCAPS program.

5.  Design of PV solar cells using ADEPT program.


Course output:

• Knowledge of the basics of PV solar cells.

• Ability to design PV solar cells using SCAPS and ADEPT programs.
