Mission
Enabling the chair to be a reliable scientific reference for reviving the national urban identity of the cities of the Makkah region using the latest and best techniques.
Objectives
- To record and analyze the main causes of the spread of optical pollution in different cities.
- To raise the level of community awareness about the danger of optical pollution to the future of our cities.
- To empower the role of scientific research in finding scientific and practical solutions for this phenomenon.
- To work closely in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Five million Saudi riyals.
Expected Outcomes
- Developing the urban environment by conducting studies on the cities of the Saudi Kingdom, in particular, and those of the region and the world, in general. This will contribute to developing the cities of our beloved Kingdom in a way that is in line with the ambitious vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Holding an awareness campaign on the danger of optical pollution.
- Writing a book entitled: 'Optical Pollution in the Cities of the Makkah Region: Causes, Types, and Treatment Methods.'
