
The Computer Corpus Research Group is an interdisciplinary group that brings academics from the department who are interested in using corpus linguistic methods and tools in language data collection and study. As corpus linguistics is a fast-growing field that contributes to different areas of language study, this research group aims at facilitating and encouraging the use of corpus approaches and techniques in compiling as well as analysing various types of corpora. Since corpus linguistics is basically a methodological approach that incorporates quantitative and qualitative methods, this research group specializes in the application of corpus techniques in any type of research involving the analysis of language in linguistics, language learning and literature.
