Fifth: to make the best use of the department's services for academic advising, the student must observe the following:
  1. The student’s responsibility and effective role in the success of the advising process can be achieved by reviewing the Department’s Guide for Academic Advising and knowing the requirements of the program’s courses as well as the Department’s regulations for course registration. This is in addition to the importance of requesting guidance and advice from the academic advisor regarding choosing courses that match the student’s level, and the type and number of courses that have been added to her schedule for this semester.
  2. The department accepts registration requests through advisors only for the following cases:
  • Expected graduates.
  • Re-enrollment requests (in the event that the application could not be submitted electronically).
  • Adjusting the academic load.
  • Students with less than 6 registered hours.
  1. Students can identify their academic advisors by referring to their academic transcripts on the Student Academic Portal. In the event where no advisor’s name appears on a student’s academic transcript, please email the Deputy Chair of the Department of English Dr. Hanadi Azhari with supporting documents.
  2. Contact your academic advisor via e-mail or by booking a virtual appointment by clicking on the advisor’s specified link in the "Book Appointments" field in the table below. When booking an appointment, the status of the request will be "waiting" until the academic advisor replies either by confirming the reservation or by arranging another appointment (in case the same appointment was booked in advance with another student). The student will receive the response via e-mail, in which she will be provided with the virtual meeting link on either on WebEx or Microsoft Teams.
  3. Academic advising hours are available daily from 8AM until 2PM with all advisors, and to ensure getting the right appointment, please book in advance.
