The lab includes the devices used to conduct experiments for determining the physical, chemical and engineering characteristics of the metals and materials used in the field of construction engineering. The devices for experimenting the engineering characteristics and manners of the metals form an important part, as concrete compressive strength testing machine, and compression and flexural devices are available.
It also includes the devices for experimenting the steel’s resistance to pitting and corrosion, for the importance of these in the construction fields. The lab serves the educational purposes for the students in teaching the practical part of the characteristics of the construction materials curriculum and conducting the lab experiments of the graduation projects. Moreover, it also serves the research purposes in the fields of structural and construction engineering.
