International Students Department

This department serves all non-Saudi students enrolled at the university across all academic levels.

Duties of the International Students Department

1. Enter admission applications on the Ministry of Education portal.

2. Issue entry visas for international students and their dependents after approval from the Ministry of Education.

3. Issue student ID cards for international students at the university.

4. Transfer monthly financial allocations of scholarship students to the Financial Administration.

5. Coordinate with the Royal Protocol Department regarding ceremonial matters for students under the university’s sponsorship.

6. Provide students with enrollment letters for relevant authorities, and grant exit and re-entry visas for the summer break at the end of the academic year.

7. Provide entitled travel tickets for students and their dependents.

8. Coordinate with the University’s Planning and Budget Administration to record scholarship students within the university’s annual budget.

9. Issue final travel tickets for graduating students after completing their programs, with approval from the University President, and coordinate with airlines for the issuance of final exit visas.

10. Handle reimbursement requests for travel tickets and forward them to the Financial Administration.

11. Supervise international students during their academic studies.

Definition of Scholarships

A scholarship is the academic seat granted to a student (male or female) from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to study at Saudi universities.

Objectives of Scholarships

1. Convey the message of Islam to the world, teach the Arabic language, and promote the culture of moderation and balance.

2. Strengthen scientific and cultural ties with Islamic, scientific, and educational institutions worldwide, and serve humanity.

3. Attract academically distinguished students to enrich scientific research.

4. Promote solidarity between the Kingdom and other countries.

5. Introduce students to the Kingdom and its scientific, economic, political, social, and health developments.

Types of Scholarships

Scholarships are divided into two main categories:

• Internal Scholarships: For non-Saudi students residing in the Kingdom under legal status.     

• External Scholarships: For non-Saudi students coming from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
