Course Objective

• Learning and practicing the grammatical rules necessary for daily life in the field of communication.

• Enhancing means of expression using examples from the Holy Quran; Hadith (reports of words and actions of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him); and famous poems.

• Enhancing students’ communication skills in their native language.

• Recognizing the significance of Arabic, being the language of the Islamic civilization.

Course Description

• Definition of “word:” linguistically and idiomatically.
• Parts of speech: nouns, verbs, and prepositions.
• Noun features: definite article, nunation, and pronouns.
• Noun classes in terms of inflection: Iraab and Binaa.
