أُمية بن أبي الصلت

روى عنه ابن الشجري أبياتًا في مدح سيف بن ذي يَزن الحِميَرِي، وذلك أنّه بعد ظفره بالحبشة واستقراره في دار مملكته، وفدت عليه وفود العرب يهنّؤونه بالملك والظَّفر، ودخل عليه ابو الصلت في وفد ثقيف، وقيل إنّ قائل هذه الأبيات هو أمية بن أبي الصلت.
