UQU President Checks on Works of Technical Committee of Grand Mosque

President of Umm Al-Qura University(UQU), who serves also as the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project of the Grand Mosque,  Dr. Bakri Bin M'atooq Bin Bakri Assas met with the head of the technical committee of the project, Dr. Faisal Wafaa to review latest work underway in the Grand Mosque projects. The meeting took place at his office in the university campus at Abdyia on Tuesday Rajab 21, 1438 H.


During the meeting, Dr. Assas listened to an elaborate presentation on the committee's performance at the ongoing work sites in the projects and its role undertaken in this regard. 
 


Meanwhile, Dr. Assas valued the support attached to the Supervisory Committee of the Grand Mosque's Expansion Project by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul-Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior, the Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense. He also valued directives of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah Prince Khalid Al-Faisal which reflect keenness of the wise leadership to provide all safety means in the work areas of the Grand Mosque's projects for the safety and convenience of the guests and visitors of the Grand Mosque.  

 
He also praised directives of the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Higher Hajj Committee Prince  Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul-Aziz for assigning the technical committee to oversee professional health and safety at the projects of the Grand Mosques, noting that such directive came as part of the confidence of the wise leadership in the importance of committee's field role. He said the committee attaches significant concern to qualifying Saudi engineers  with courses, certificates and professional accreditation in the committee's field of work thus contributing to building qualified national cadres to participate in achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030. 


Concluding the meeting, the Head of the Technical Committee Dr. Faisal Wafaa submitted a detailed report on the role of the technical committee in the works in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' project of increasing the accommodation capacity of the Mataf.
