The Dean of the College of Health Sciences in Al-Leith, Dr. As`ad bin Abdul-Rahman bin As`ad Abdul-Jawwad, on Monday morning, 16 Sha`ban 1442 A.H., corresponding to 29 March 2021 A.C., held an official visit to the Governor of Al-Leith in the Makkah region, Dr. Faisal bin Ghazi Al-Hazmi. The dean was accompanied by administrative staff in the college: Mr. Hasan Al-Suba`i and Mr. Sultan Al-Shihri.

Dr. As`ad Abdul-Jawwad congratulated Dr. Faisal Al-Hazmi for the noble confidence in appointing him as the Governor of Al-Leith.

During the visit, Dr. As`ad Abdul-Jawwad submitted an application requesting the Emirate of Makkah province, represented by Al-Leith governorate, to oversee and sponsor the signing of a memorandum of understanding of the College of Health Sciences with the Health Affairs Directorate in the governorate, represented by Al-Leith Public Hospital. The aim of the memorandum is to effectively participate in developing scientific research between the two most important partners in the health and educational sector in the governorate.

The Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. As`ad Abdul-Jawwad, proposed to Dr. Faisal Al-Hazmi that Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the College of Health Sciences, be given official representation on the main website and electronic portal of Al-Leith governorate in Makkah province to respond to the inquiries of the people and residents of Al-Leith. The dean's proposition was appreciated by the governor.

At the end of the meeting, the governor Dr. Faisal Al-Hazmi stressed the importance of the medical and health educational development in Al-Leith, of achieving the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 in developing and increasing the educational programs in various levels and categories in the governorate, and of the active participation and fruitful cooperation with Umm Al-Qura University, the leading educational institution in Makkah region.
