The General Administration of Projects Raises the Capacity of the Water Pumping Station in Al-Abdiyyah to 5 Million Cubic Meters

The General Administration of Projects has raised the capacity of the central water pumping station at the facilities of the University City in Al-Abdiyyah (male and female section) from 1,300,000 m3/day to above 5,000,000 m3/day. The General Administration of Projects has also linked the water pumping station to a unified control system.

The Supervisor of the UQU Vice Presidency for Branches and General Administration of Projects, Prof. Muhammad Al-Hazimi, asserted that the administration has finished renovating the station and supplying all the facilities of the male and female sections as well as the central air-conditioning station. This has been implemented by replacing two submersible pumps with a total capacity of 10 liters per second, and three centrifugal pumps with a capacity of 155 liters per second, in addition to renovating the electrical panels.

Dr. Al-Hazimi clarified that the administration carried out the project according to its development plans and strategies in order to upgrade the educational environment, to improve the infrastructure of the UQU water supply station, and to link the station to an automatic control system. Dr. Al-Hazimi appreciated the efforts exerted by the staff members of the administration in following up the implementation of the project.
