Tunisian Prime Minister Dr. Yousif Al-Shahid visited on Friday morning Jumada Al-Thani 25, 1438 H the pavilion of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research of Umm Al-Qura University participating within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ward in the Tunisian International Book Fair which is held in the period from March 24, 2017, until April 2, 2017.
Dr. Al-Shahid listened to an elaborate presentation of the institute's role and its carried out research and consultancy objectives within the system of Hajj and Umrah works. He then received a memorial gift from the Dean of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, Dr. Sami bin Yassin Barhamain.
Dr. Barhamain said that the participation of the Institute within the ward of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Tunisian International Book Fair is aimed at highlighting various programs, studies, researches and activities undertaken by the institute to develop services provided for pilgrims and Umrah doers.
He explained that the pavilion of the institute contained various pictures and sculptures that illustrated the giant projects carried out and still by the state for the convenience and service of pilgrims and visitors in Makkah, the Holy Sites and Al-Madinah. He noted that the institute in collaboration with the Kiswa Factory of the Holy Ka'aba brought a piece of kiswa to be woven in front of the visitors of the pavilion. He added that the pavilion is characterized by distribution of gifts to its visitors including; pictures of the Grand mosques, Prophet Mosques, the Kaaba, the Black Stone and the Rawdah.
Further, Dr. Barhamain extended his thanks and appreciation to those in charge of the Saudi ward led by Saudi cultural attaché at Tunisia Dr. Mohamed Al-Toum who saved no effort in supporting the institute's team participating in the event starting by the reception and including organizational arrangements for the participation of the pavilion of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research in the Tunisia International Book Fair.
Participants in the institute's pavilion include, Dean of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Sami bin Yassin Brhmain, Member of teaching staff in the Institute Dr. Hamdan bin Darweesh Al-Ghamdi, Head of Administrative and Humanitarian Research Department Dr. Tariq Al-Aqla, Lecturer at the department of research and media affairs, Mr. Abdul-Aziz bin Daifullah Al-Zahrani and the weaver at the Kiswa Factory of the Holy Ka'aba Mr. Hisham bin Abdul-Majeed Hassan.
It' to be mentioned here that the pavilion of the Institute attracted large number of visitors at the beginning of the event, thus proving its importance and value to the visitors of Tunisia Book Fair.
