On Monday, 17 Rajab 1442 A.H., the Department of Mathematics organized a workshop entitled: “Dealing with Complex Numbers”, via the WebEx platform.
In the workshop, which targeted the students of the department, the supervisor of the workshop, Dr. Abdul-Hamid Farraj Ahmad, gave a historical overview of the emergence of complex numbers, highlighting their importance in various scientific fields, especially the fields of mathematics and physics. This was followed by a review of the work and contributions made by the students, which were well received by the attendees due to the richness of the content, the aesthetics of the graphics, and the smoothness of the presentations.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the supervisor of the department thanked all the participating students and the attendees, urging them to continue to interact and encouraging them to provide more contributions in the various extra-curricular activities.
