President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas on Tuesday Jumada Al-Thani 22, 1438 H launched hall of language activity at the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Native Speakers in the presence of institute's Dean Dr. Hassan Bukhari and the Institute's Vice Deans.
He checked on the language activity hall including; display screen, computers connected to e-learning websites, reading library, language games and training on writing and learning Arabic calligraphy. During the visit, he listened to an elaborate presentation by the Dean about the services offered by the hall.
Within the same vein, Dr. Assas visited also specialized language laboratories and met with the expatriate students and listened to some of them who became fluent in Arabic language.
Further, Dr. Assas praised second to non-efforts exerted by the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Native Speakers to teach and qualify sons of Islamic nation from different parts of the world. He lauded the support attached by the wise leadership led by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Crown Prince, to the education in the Kingdom and their keenness to provide education opportunities for Muslim students to receive education in the Saudi universities, particularly Umm Al-Qura University.
Concluding his visit, he also commended the significant role undertaken by the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Native Speakers besides the the colleges of Sharia and Islamic Studies and Arabic Language and the great contribution made by constellation of scholars in Sharia and Arabic language specialties to serve and spread the language of Holy Quran.
