As per the directives of UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas and direct supervision of UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service who serves also as the acting UQU Vice President for Business and Innovation Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi, the quality and academic accreditation team conducted an external assessment visit to Batterjee Medical College to check on quality of the programs provided by the college and the extent to which they satisfy the requirements of the academic accreditation of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment and to offer consultation on the sides requiring more focus from the college to obtain academic accreditation.
The UQU team was headed by Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Mohamed Jaafar Thabit and included experts of quality and academic accreditation in the university in its membership.
Dr. Thabit said the visit comes in the framework of cooperation amongst national universities and to benefit from the expertise of the universities which took the lead in obtaining academic accreditation, and as per the invitation of the Dean of Batterjee College Dr. Osama Kansara.
He went on to add the UQU Quality and Accreditation Team has become experienced in the local and international academic accreditation standards for undertaking institutional accreditation tasks in the university and for supervising 27 programs that have obtained academic accreditation from different international accreditation agencies.
