Social Responsibility to Be Discussed at the Fourth Meeting of the UQU Vice Presidents for Female Student Affairs

The UQU Vice Presidency for Female Student Affairs prepares to host the fourth meeting of the Vice Presidents for Female Student Affairs and the associated forum, which will be held the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, 17 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1442 A.H. The meeting, which is entitled: "Social Responsibility: Visions and Aspirations", will be held via a virtual (video) conference, with the participation of a group of academic staff members and specialists in the field of community service.

The UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khouli, stated that social responsibility is one of the most important roles of universities, as they are strongly linked with the society, meeting its requirements in the academic fields with its different specializations and duties. This is implemented within the framework of achieving knowledge and an ethical balance for different categories of the society. Moreover, Dr. Sarah stressed that the UQU Vice Presidency seeks to strengthen the role of its different entities and staff members in light of the academic issues related to the topic and objectives of the forum.

The forum will discuss social responsibility at Saudi universities from the viewpoints of female leaders, and also identify the challenges and difficulties facing social responsibility in educational institutions and the local community. In addition, the relationship between the responsibility and the sustainable development of universities will be clarified by presenting the most important successful achievements in this field, at the educational and societal levels.

During the forum, the contributions of scientific research and communication and information technology will be presented in underlying the elements of social responsibility. Moreover, the forum will shed light on the efforts exerted by the Colleges of Community Service and the University Vice Presidents for Female Student Affairs in enriching the social field with qualitative programs and initiatives that aim to achieve the development plans of the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 A.C.
