On Sunday and Monday, 7 and 8 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1442 A.H., the Department of Mathematics held a course entitled: ‘IPE: A Graphics Editor with LaTeX Integration’.
The course was attended by a number of academic staff members and a group of college students from different departments. The program was introduced, followed by an explanation of how to use it to draw geometric shapes and other objects. Moreover, an illustration of some of the necessary formatting was presented. The program’s features were also highlighted, important of which are the ability to store data in different formats, to modify the graphics produced by other programs to display them in specific formats, and to support the language: LaTeX.
