Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of Makkah, HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal sponsors on Thursday, Jumada Al-Thani 10th, 1348 A.H., graduation of the 65th batch of Umm Al-Qura University students for the academic year 1437/1438 A.H., comprising about 7335 celebrated students at all academic levels; at Abdiya Campus, King Saud Hall.

On this occasion, UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atoog Al-Assas congratulated the graduates, wishing them all success in their future practical life, as well as in their service to their country and the nation at large. Dr. Al-Assas extended his deep appreciation to the care and attention paid by the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal - may Allah protect him - to this ceremony. "This is the biggest batch of graduates in UQU's history, celebrated in its headquarter here in Makkah as well as in its branches at Al Jumum, Al-Lith, Adham and Al Qunfudha." he added, "The University includes 35 colleges, academic institutes and Vice Deanships, 119 academic departments, and 215 scientific, theoretical and medical majors. With more than 550 programs offered by UQU; I wish these programs would meet the needs of the community, and the requirements of development according to the 2030 Vision of the Kingdom."

From his part, the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Amr bin Taha Al-Saqaf said, "The Deanship will organize this year's graduation ceremony which is designed to include a number of activities; starting with a graduation rally, honoring outstanding students, an operetta, as well as a visual presentation on the University. "For first time...", Dr.Amr added, "the Deanship has taken a distinctive step by designing a graduation ring laced with UQU's logo. This ring will be awarded to the University's male and female alumni this year as a fine memorial to UQU." Then he wished them all success in their future life.

In the same vein, the Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani said; “This year, UQU celebrates the graduation of the 65th batch of 7335 students, including 6222 students at the Bachelor’s level, 696 at Diploma level, 239 at the Masters level, as well as 47 at the PhD. level.”
