Umm Al-Qura University Receives Its New President: Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab

Umm Al-Qura University received its president, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, yesterday, Thursday, 5 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1442 A.H., corresponding to 22 October, 2020 A.C. He was received by the university's vice presidents and the deans of the colleges as well as a number of university staff, including academic and non-academic staff, in his office in the University City of Al-Abdiyyah.

The President of the University appreciated the trust of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may Allah protect them, in appointing him as president. He referred to the trust and guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Aal Al-Sheikh, and His Excellency the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sudairi, to provide an educational, research and administrative environment that is consistent with the policies and strategies of the new university law.

Prof. Moaddi Aal Madh-hab, during his meeting with university leaderships, listened to a detailed summary of the university's strategy and future vision, which is in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

The President of the University made an inspection tour of King Saud Hall to check on the progress of the students' exams and review the precautionary measures taken to curb the COVID-19 pandemic. While touring the hall, he met the students and listened to their inquiries and requests regarding their academic affairs.

During the reception, the vice presidents and deans of the colleges congratulated Prof. # Moaddi Aal Madh-hab on the occasion of the issuance of the Royal Decree appointing him president of the university They wished him success in serving the university and elevating it to the ranks of the most prestigious universities.
