HE Dr. Bakri Bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President, honored the Vice-Presidency for Business and Knowledge Creativity staff, represented in the departments that fall under its umbrella: The Valley of Makkah Technology, Research and Consulting Studies Institute, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Institute, intellectual Property Office and the Technical Innovation Center for their effective participation in the nationalization of industry in the Valley of Makkah Technology Project. The honoring event was attended by UQU Vice-President of Cognitive and Creative Work, Dr. Nabil bin Abdulkader Koshk, the Valley of Makkah Technology CEO, Dr. Osama bin Rashid Al-Omari, the Research and Consulting Studies Institute Dean Dr. Ali Al-Shaeri and the Advisor of the Prince of Makkah Region, Dr. Fawaz Saad, at the Startup Center at UQU Campus of Abedia.
HE Dr. Bakri Bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President and The Valley of Makkah Technology Chairman stated that this honoring was extended to those who participated in the nationalization of knowledge economy in the Valley of Makkah Technology project and are fully capable of transforming innovative projects resulting from scientific research into tangible products. This came as a result of the company establishing the needed infrastructure the research system needs in light of the vision and interest of the Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Prince of Makkah Region. HRH Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, so as to serve national economy and realize sustainable development; also, provide training and employment opportunities for university students of both sexes, in a way that harmonizes education output with the requirements of the labor market.
HE also showed his appreciation of the research efforts extended by UQU Vice-President of Cognitive and Creative Work and The Valley of Makkah Technology Vice-Chairman , Dr. Nabil bin Abdulkader Koshk and the team working with him, which led to their keeping up with international universities competing to nationalize knowledge in their communities.
In the same context, UQU Vice-President of Cognitive and Creative Work and The Valley of Makkah Technology Vice-Chairman, Dr. Nabil bin Abdulkader Koshk stated that this honoring was a result of efforts exerted in the past six years, till economy knowledge - which started from scratch - was conceived in UQU. He pointed out that had it not been for the support and trust of Dr. Bakri Bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President, the dream would not have come true. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all university staff, who cooperated with UQU Vice-Presidency for Business and Knowledge Creativity.
