The College of Community Service and Continuing Education at Umm Al-Qura University announced the launch of a professional diploma in Aviation Ground Operations. This diploma has been made available for the first time in the Saudi Kingdom to prepare national intermediate staff in the aviation industry and to achieve the Saudization requirements in the aviation ground operations sector.
The diploma program aims to train national staff of young men and women, qualify them, and provide them with scientific and practical experiences in this field. The diploma also functions as a nucleus of the integrated training system in the aviation industry.
The Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, Prof. Tawfiq Al-Sharif, stated that the program is based on the latest educational and technical means that meet the labor market need for such important specializations. He added that it aims to develop services in the Saudi Kingdom's airports, provide job opportunities for the Saudi manpower, and spread the culture of the aviation industry. This is in addition to developing the capabilities of the current employees in the aviation ground operations sector.
The college has provided the opportunity for those wishing to enroll in the program from all regions of the Saudi Kingdom to submit their applications through the electronic portal as of Sunday, 2 Safar, 1442 A.H., for two weeks.
